Our Approach

Islamic Help Africa designs and implements projects with a sustainable development approach. This approach aims at building community capacities and empowering them to ensure long-term impact and sustainability of interventions. Interventions focus on community needs, local context, Islamic Help’s thematic priorities, technical capacity and availability of financial resources.

Islamic Help Africa mainly works with Village Councils, Ward Councils and Local Government. These community-led organizations enable the community to join together in dialogue to support positive change; participating in planning, decision-making and evaluation at the community, village or ward level. Formation of Self-Help Groups, Savings Groups, and Village Committee’s are also used as methods to mobilize communities and encourage their participation.
