HELP BUILD HOSPITALS IN AFRICA
In terms of health care, governments face a number of challenges, including lack of funds and poor infrastructure.
For example, one of the poorest countries in the world, the standard of health care facilities in Tanzania is low by global standards.
Â
Malaria is endemic in 42 of the 46 countries of the African Region.
An estimated 2.4 million new tuberculosis cases – 24% of all notified cases worldwide – and half a million tuberculosis deaths are reported in the Region each year.
Noncommunicable diseases, such as hypertension, heart disease, diabetes and stroke and injuries represented 27% of the total burden of disease in the Region in 2001 and are on the rise. By adopting broad prevention plans African countries could achieve 10 more healthy life years for their people.
Children in sub-Saharan Africa are more than 15 times more likely to die before the age of five than children in high-income countries.
Health care facilities are largely located in urban centers and even with the existence of a health care facility many medical necessities are amiss. Tanzanian Government fights with this issue by promoting building health care facilities with the direct funds from the public with the promise of medical staff and equipment.
You can help with your donations in our cause to complete the unfinished medical facility constructions around rural Tanzania.

CATARACT CAMPS
Blindness prevalence rates vary widely but the evidence suggests that approximately 1% of Africans are blind. The major cause is cataract; trachoma and glaucoma are also important causes of blindness. The bulk of blindness in the region is preventable or curable.
Even so 90% of the estimated 20 million people blinded by untreated cataracts live in lower income areas where they lack access to care in Africa.

MALARIA PREVENTION
Malaria is a serious, sometimes fatal disease that is spread by mosquitoes who have been infected by a parasite. The disease is spread when mosquitoes feed on humans. Malaria exists in 103 countries worldwide, affecting 3.3. billion people, but about 90% of malaria-related deaths occur in sub-Saharan Africa. The majority of those affected are children under the age of five. Islamic Help Africa has distributed 3600 treated mosquito nets to date in Tanga region of Tanzania through different projects. With only 5 pounds, you can save a life to help in our cause to distribute malaria nets in Africa.
